Coastal Cottage Kitchen Reveal
Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque Rehoboth Bay, Dewey Beach is a gem seaside resort, enjoyed by many summer after summer. Dewey is only two blocks wide and surrounded by water. We had the opportunity to renovate this cottage on the bay, which enjoys spectacular sunsets, its own private beach cove, and the best spot in town for the 4th of July fireworks.
Originally built in the 1980s and having been through the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, this home still had great bones and a lot of character and was ready for a new spin on some of those historical features, to help create inviting kitchen, living, and dining spaces for family and friends summer gatherings, crab boils, board games, and laughter.
Now the cottage is filled with light, blue and neutral colors, and a lot of natural textures that make it feel fresh and updated, while still capturing the nostalgia and charm of the true American summer.
